Classes are comprehensive and include instructions and any patterns to take home. A list of requirements will be sent to you on receipt of payment; but there will be materials there to purchase should you wish

About some of the Classes we run from time to time
Plain piped CushionDoes just that. Teaches you piping and Zip and you will come away with a lovely cushion. May need to bring your own machine. Some experience an advantage, beginners welcome.
A Roman BlindBetter if you have had some experience with curtain making but a day filled with learning. You will make a small sample blind to learn techniques to use at home on a real life size one.
AppliqueA wonderful decorative technique. Need fabric scraps and your machine if you can. Taught by my guest tutor Sue. A very rewarding morning. All levels of experience
Sew..A Tucked and textured cushionMake a cushion and learn how to make tucks and pintucks. Your own creation. A little confidence on your machine an advantage
A hand Pleated ValanceThis is suitable for beginners and shows the basic technique hand pleating . Not full size to learn the techniques.(will re-schedule)
Foundation PatchworkA wonderful morning of pieceing and making patchwork. A great technique and easily learned. Some Fabric scraps will be needed.
Simple Firm pelmetLearn the principals of making a pelmet. We will only be doing a small one but you never know...you may like it.
A Box CushionNot that easy but very rewarding. We will make a real size one so measure up the pad and bring your fabric. Some experience will make it easier but beginners welcome
Quick Patchwork SquaresThis is great for beginners and very quick to do and you will be able to carry on at home. Lots of patchwork techniques learned here
Tie BackMake one and you will learn all about them. Not that easy for beginners but if you have learned the piped cushion you will easy do this.
Swags and TailsLearn how to make a life size pattern of a swag and tail and then make it up. You will need to have a window measurement if you want to make a real one but it would be a better idea to do a mock up one first. Not really that easy for real beginners
Loose covers for an armchairThis will involve one half day followed about three weeks later of four full Saturdays. Once I know the interest I will sort out the dates. You will need to work on your own chair and have to bring it here to make your cover but it will be able to stay here for the duration of the course.
